Transparent, tacky, and washable coating for spray booth walls

Transparent protection coating (waterborn). Forms a static coat to collect en keep dust particles and paint overspray. Washable with water. Depending on ambient conditions such as temperature and humidity the product may remain tacky for 6–8 weeks. Per can.

Spray booth protect basicis a waterbased dispersion that complies with environmental norms, security & health standards. This product is stabilized with a system of biodegradable surface active substances and contains no plasticizers. The product is only used on hardened undergrounds as sticky coating. Specific application on walls of spraybooths existing in aluminium/inox, galvanised and varnished walls.

Transparant, tacky and washable coating for the protection of spraybooth walls against overspray. Product stays tacky in order to hold on to swirling dust.

Apply with spray gun (2.5) in two or three coats. The thicker the total coat, the longer it stays active. Applying another coat after some time will re-activate the product.

Remove afterwards with water and sponge.

Biodegradable.

Average consumption per spraybooth: 15L.

Depending on temperature and humidity, product will stay tacky for 6 - 8 weeks.

Can be applied over 2 dried layers of powerpeel for easy removal

Application

Directions for use with spray gun:

Use a spray gun with nozzle 1.8 – 2.5mm. Spraying pressure should be at 2-3 bar.
Layer thickness: 125 mμ. The layer thickness determines how fast the product dries out.
For an optimal application we recommend to apply the product in 3 layers. After applying a layer wait 20 minutes before applying another.
Cabin 7 x 4 x 3: average consumption 15L

Directions for use with brush/roll:

To prevent the coating from dripping, apply a thin smooth layer on vertical surfaces.

Directions for use with pressure tank:

Apply using a pressure tank (e.g. SPG 80) equipped with a 2.0–2.5 mm nozzle. Set the pressure in the tank to 2.0–2.5 bar.
Do not dilute the product.
Apply in one continuous, closed coat. When the applied layer starts to dry, an additional coat can be applied. A maximum of three coats may be applied in total.
Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with warm water and a sponge, optionally with a drop of liquid soap, or by using a high-pressure cleaner.

Attention
At often rising temperatures (>67C°), Spray booth protect basic dries faster. Do not use at a temperature under 5°C.

Maintenance
The ease of removing the product strongly depends on the thickness of the applied layers, the temperature in the spray cabin, the frequency the cabin is used and the period of time the product has been on the walls. For intensive use: (more than 5 times a day) we recommend to apply an extra layer on the existing layer once a month, in order to re-activate the effects. When the product doesn’t stick anymore wash all layers with water and apply max 4 new layers, as described above.
